I hear regularly from clients how they struggle with issues around hips, core, lower back pain and pelvic floor problems. I have spent the last few years studying, researching and practicing. Improving my own issues within the hip complex. And learnt, things can improve with a little consistent practice, understanding what works and what can make things worse.
What the workshop will cover
Understanding how to breathe for better control of the pelvic floor.
Understanding the different issues within the pelvic floor.. (it’s not always just about doing your pelvic floor exercises.)
Hip opening postures to release tight uncomfortable muscles
Strengthening exercises for the hips, glutes, core and lower back
Movement to improve Lumbopelvic rhythm of lower back and pelvis.
Cultivating an awareness of the pelvic floor and hip complex
We will end the session with a relaxing meditation ,continuing to build on that awareness of this area.
(Please note this is not medical training and professional advice should be sort if you have serious concerns. However this will give you an understanding and can help you get started with the journey to better hips and pelvis health)

The weekend of well-being retreat will soon be upon us. I'm always super excited about sharing these with you. I will make sure you feel at ease if you are thinking of coming alone. Honestly it’s so empowering to take the challenge of stepping out of your comfort zone. These weekends aren’t about how super bendy you or wearing the right yoga clothes. They are about skilful and mindful movement that will help you feel good and relaxed. You will be encouraged and hopefully inspired to continue with a new fresh energy after leaving the retreat. You choose throughout the weekend how much you do.
The setting is absolutely beautiful, in the heart of the Welsh countryside (about 2 peaceful hours drive - no motorways, from Halesowen) . Perfectly tranquil to allow yourself this time to slooooow things down and to breathe a little slower and deeper.
It’s a small intimate retreat so you won’t feel intimidated in anyway.
Can you challenge yourself to try something new to aid your health and well-being? Giving you time to set aside your to do list, daily chores, worries and stress? So you are able to rebalance and harmonise your energy? Refill your cup ready to start your spring motivated?
Mindful movement, breath work, meditation, walking and self care really can help you heal
This workshop is to help you take some time out, to slow down, aiding stress, anxiety, better sleep. To unwind and quieten the busy mind. Ready to start your week focused, relaxed and clear headed.
You will be guided through very gentle movement. (Can be done from a chair if preferred) encouraging you to move in way that feels good for you. This style of practice is great to soothe the nervous system, to get the body moving intuitively especially if you are feeling stiff or have aches and pains.
Breath work/pranayama to help harmonise your energy, Breathing mindfully aids stress, tension, improves lung capacity, immune and nervous system function, elevates your mood, decreases blood pressure, focus, clarity, & alertness.
A soothing guided relaxation that will help you drift off into a cosy, blissful sleep later.
Hopefully I will have time to come around again and give you a little Reiki.
This is open to everyone and all abilities.
You will need a blanket, comfy clothes, mat, cushion or pillow.

Intention setting, inspiration, thoughts and guidance using some self development tools around what you do want to bring into the year and what is not working for you.
Yoga that will ignite your inner fire, to challenge you to explore moving in a way that works for you, building strength, better mobility, and flexibility. This is suitable for all abilities. No yoga experience needed
A transformational breathwork session. moving you through a series of different breathwork techniques. Stronger breathing that will help release stagnant toxic energy, aid digestion, to help clear your mind, so you can focus on what you want to bring into the New Year. We will then move into more meditative, calm breathing, that is really soothing for the immune function and nervous system, aiding better sleep.
Break for lunch. Beautiful vegetarian graze boxes are being provided. Selection of Teas, coffee and herbal drinks.
After lunch there will be a talk on benefits of micro movements and how to incorporate this into your daily life helping with your health and fitness. Discussions on Ayurveda principles , helping you understand how you can eat and move better according to what Dosha’s you are (principles of your mind, body and behaviour). You will be given a short questionnaire to answer to help you identify which one/s you are.
We will close the retreat with a sound healing session
